Three-Fifths Magazine Announces Its 2026 Annual Health & Wellness Edition
A Legacy of Healing, A Future of Wholeness
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 25, 2026
Three-Fifths Magazine proudly announces its 2026 Annual Health & Wellness Edition, “Gratitude as Resistance,” scheduled for publication on November 8, 2026. This year’s special edition explores the transformative power of gratitude—not simply as an expression of appreciation, but as an intentional act of resilience, healing, hope, and resistance in a world too often characterized by division, uncertainty, and despair.
Throughout history, communities confronting injustice, hardship, and systemic inequities have drawn upon gratitude, faith, cultural traditions, and collective strength to sustain themselves through extraordinary challenges. Gratitude, viewed through this historical and human lens, becomes more than a personal sentiment. It represents an affirmation of dignity, a recognition of shared humanity, and a determination to embrace life’s possibilities even amid adversity.
An Annual Commitment to Health, Healing, and Wholeness
The Health & Wellness Edition has become an important part of Three-Fifths Magazine’s annual editorial calendar. Each November, the magazine dedicates a full edition to exploring the many dimensions of human well-being—physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and communal.
Our purpose is to inform, inspire, and equip readers with meaningful insights, personal experiences, historical perspectives, and forward-looking solutions that encourage healthier individuals, stronger families, and more resilient communities.
While recognizing the distinct challenges and opportunities facing Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color, the edition also embraces the universal human desire for health, dignity, belonging, and wholeness.
Mind. Body. Spirit. Community.
These four pillars guide our understanding that genuine wellness cannot be separated from the social conditions, relationships, histories, and communities that shape our lives.
Gratitude as Resistance: Choosing Hope and Healing
The theme of this year’s edition invites readers to consider a profound question:
What does it mean to practice gratitude in a world where so many continue to struggle for justice, equality, opportunity, and peace?
Gratitude does not require us to overlook suffering, excuse injustice, or diminish the very real challenges confronting individuals and communities. Rather, it encourages us to recognize the enduring sources of strength, compassion, joy, and possibility that sustain the human spirit.
In this sense, gratitude becomes an act of resistance against hopelessness, isolation, and the forces that threaten our collective well-being.
Through thoughtful essays, personal reflections, and diverse perspectives, this year’s contributors explore the intersection of emotional wellness, spiritual strength, restorative practices, community connections, and the enduring human capacity to persevere.
