Bernie Madoff became a sacrificial lamb because he violated the rules and took advantage of the untouchables: wealthy, “white,” male, landowners. 

Every now and then, they may drop one into the system to give the appearance of justice and no one being above the law. 

However, that is not what this country was built upon. 

The tiny group of Europeans (the wealthy, male, white, landowners) found a way to increase their profits by bringing over poor “whites” (who were not called “white” at the time, that came later as part of a divide and conquer strategy) as indentured servants to work off their debt (for an average of seven years) for coming to the “new world” for better opportunities. This was long before any laws pertaining to immigration.

It was only after Bacon’s Rebellion in 1666-1667, when poor folks, across color lines, banded together to fight against those who oppressed them, that this small group developed a strategy to keep it from ever happening again. 

Hence, the “race” division idea was born, and took on a life of its own. It was actually demonically ingenious and extremely effective.  

So, you see the laws were NEVER intended for this small group of wealthy, male, “white,” landowners. They were for everyone else, as a means to protect their wealth and power. Wars were fought for the same reason. “Be patriotic and support our troops.” The quiet part that goes unsaid is, so you all can continue to protect our wealth and power. 

“No, we are not going to go and fight on the front lines or allow our children to do so; they have bone spurs. That’ll be your job. We’ll pretend that we celebrate their patriotism until we’re done using them. And then we’ll ignore them and leave them homeless and in need of real health care. But we’ll give them awards in public for being war heroes and make it look good.”

Even the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and the statement that “all MEN” were created EQUAL, actually only applied to that small group of wealthy, “white,” male, landowners. Every other group had to fight to be included. Even the classification of “white,” along with its accompanying privileges, had to be something folks had to push for, and it could change from year to year, and is still in flux to this very day. 

So, in comes Donald Trump, a part of the group, born into the group, Mr. Bone Spurs, 5-time Draft Dodger. The rules don’t apply to his group. The laws don’t apply to him. They were never made for his group (wealthy, “white,” male, landowners). 

So of course he’ll ignore them, of course there’ll be no accountability or consequences, of course he can sleep in the courtroom with no worries. He knows it’s all for show and nothing will happen. He’ll make fun of the whole system and put his mugshot on T-shirts and coffee mugs. It’s all a big game for him, and he has no problem shoving it in our faces on a daily. He has no problem saying the quiet part out loud. 

It’s why he loves “the poorly educated”; they will believe anything he tells them, because he knows they will buy it. And he knows he can convince them that they are part of his group, no matter how impoverished. 

It’s been working for generations. They will fight for him, being used to being spoon-fed regurgitated information and accepting it as fact. They are used to being intellectually lazy and will refuse to do any research to fact-check anything he says. Just give them the feel-good Kool-Aid and make them feel superior to any defined “other.” 

He plays the game well, very well. 

So no, at this stage in the game, I don’t expect anything different. Epstein files be damned, or anything else. It’s just not how this game is played. It’s about serving and bowing down to the unholy trinity of the love of money, power, and the lust of the flesh (entitlement and ownership of the bodies of the “less thans,” the enslaved, women, children, and anyone else outside of their group). 

ONLY if he becomes a threat to his group, like Epstein did, will they step away from him and allow the cards to fall where they may. 

But I wouldn’t hold my breath. After all, they voted him into the highest position on the planet, not once, but twice. And his adversaries all fell into line and kissed the ring, among other parts of his anatomy. 

So, what can America do as a nation to get on her feet and move forward? What will it take to truly “overcome someday”

It will take more than empty apologies. It will take true change, AKA repentance, a change in attitudes, and a concerted effort to rid our nation of the tactics and strategies used to condition the minds of our children into accepting racism/white supremacy. It will take us being surgical to remove this metastasizing cancer.

It will take reparations to the offended parties that have been denied generational wealth, equal opportunities, ripped off of land, whose ancestors were made to work for free in building this nation. It will take revamping our educational system to be inclusive of the whole truth, not just the good, but the bad and the ugly. It will take more diversified images in media representing America’s true demographics, and normalizing depicting people as people, instead of the subliminal promotions of white superiority.   

You must first learn how to play the game before you can win the game.

Keep praying, keep working toward this goal, keep fighting for justice, and keep living, and we’ll see how this movie plays out in the end.
