Color Blind,
As many in America try to grapple with the ramifications of a changing nation, a not-so-new method of white supremacy has manipulated some, fooled others, and downright weaponized those antithetical to a multiethnic democracy. Cultural colorblindness, on its surface, sounds nonthreatening, especially for those who desire to take America back in time. From colorblind education efforts to the seemingly harmless, though in actuality, microaggression comments such as “when I see you, I don’t see color” prove harmful to BIPOC communities and the Nation as a whole. What is really happening here? How can we expose this defraud of God’s creation, and how can we disarm it?
