Autumn is one of the four seasons that highlights the change from Summer to Fall. Within this time frame, various changes occur. Some changes include survival strategies for animals, such as food cycles, nesting locations, ecosystem variations, and alterations in weather patterns. Even the physical and mental health of individuals begins to change. During Autumn, individuals are more inclined to experience feelings of depression and anxiety, as there is minimal sunlight and extensive nights. Just as leaves change color during Autumn, transition also takes place in the lives of others.
Change can be positive or negative. It is our responsibility as citizens to ensure that we make informed decisions that do not drive a wedge between distinct ethnic, community, political, or religious groups. We have constantly fought for several years, without effective solutions for withstanding problems in both the community and the political world. How can we as a community stand up respectfully for our beliefs and help others without hindrance, fear, or rejection? We can ensure that everyone we come into contact with daily is respected and treated without harm. It is also our obligation to continue growing in every area of our lives. Life stops when learning ceases. Aim to communicate respectfully, as everyone experiences life differently. Lastly, exercise your voice in ways that will promote advocacy, health, and safety, and create additional equal opportunities for everyone to succeed.
