The Mirage of Assimilation in America is comprised of a mirage known as white supremacy, in which this culture is known to dominate in today’s society. If we want America to thrive, we must learn to assimilate a melting pot of individuals with talents, educational levels, and socioeconomic statuses to bring togetherness and opportunity for growth. As an American citizen, there is a serious need for modernized advancement. If we as a people do not rise to the occasion, our nation will continue in disarray, on a path toward declination. There are still significant dreams of building a society colonized by diverse individuals who truly acknowledge their craft.
It is time to put those talents to use by creating the new American dream, which requires an attitude of resilience. No special ethnic group is to remain stagnant. It is up to us as the American people to strive toward greatness, take on new opportunities, and work in partnership with others of varying ethnicities and religious beliefs while respecting one another in the process toward advancement and justice for community members. As a diverse population, we must think outside the box while focusing on a diverse population of individuals who are motivated by the progression of others and open to new beginnings. We can’t have fear of the unknown; we must activate our faith, educate ourselves, and be conscious of the feelings of others.
We must dismiss white supremacy: the limited mindset, the all-or-nothing right now mindset, the precisionist mindset, the never-enough, left-behind mindset. We must no longer hang on to meaningless relationships based on jealousy or live in poverty or fear. We must aim for success, happiness, and patience and no longer fall into toxicity. We must learn to respect and value ourselves and our true relationships to form a greater sense of self. It is evident that loyalty, respect, and honesty are the keys to lasting relationships. We can truly advance in life by being honest with self, and what we can accomplish in this ever-everchanging life.
