The January Theme: Deconstructing the Myth

Three-Fifths Magazine takes a clear-eyed look at the “Model Minority Myth” among other various racial myths that codify the system of white supremacy in America. Start the year right; let’s set the record straight and silence this divisive rhetoric.

“Ultimately, “Deconstructing The Myth: Unmasking Racial Stereotypes And Challenging The ‘Model Minority Myth’ In America” seeks to expose the fallacies embedded within societal perceptions by unraveling their historical roots and analyzing their multifaceted implications. Through a comprehensive exploration of unmasking racial stereotypes in America, this essay aims to challenge readers’ preconceived notions while advocating for a more equitable society free from the shackles of racial bias.”

The above quote is from New Three-Fifths Magazine Contributor Micheli Robles from her article/essay entitled Deconstructing the Myth: Unmasking Racial Stereotypes and Challenging the ‘Model Minority Myth’ in America.

Seeking ties that bind, that move “Beyond” instigated divisions, especially between marginalized communities of color, is essential to any real and lasting healing in America. Allys and Accomplices must not exist on the periphery of this conversation but equitably assert their collaborative voices to meet the challenges of eliminating these nefarious systems of bias and white supremacy along with their influences on society.
